CHANCE VOUGHT F7U CUTLASS

This F7U Cutlass is interesting in that it mounts a test boom on the nose, yet this is a production aircraft. Carrying s/n 128454, a website listing Navy & Marine Bureau Numbers shows this was one of  a group of 28 aircraft. Some  were completed as F7U-3M or F7U-3P variants, so it's likely this aircraft was a testbed for one of those subtypes.  One other thing.  If you look close, you can see red and white stripes on the top of the vertical fin, along with a dark blue leading edge.
