CHANCE VOUGHT F7U-3M CUTLASS

A very nice shot of an F7U-3M, s/n 129704. This subtype came about as a result of the Navy deciding to hang Sparrow missiles on the aircraft. Although they tend to blend into the bare metal finish, you can see two rather large missile pylons located under the left wing. Two more are under the other wing.  Needless to say, the addition of four large and heavy missiles had a significant impact on the aircraft's performance.
